Hello players and watchers. I go by many names. Patrick, Traveler, Keeper… That may be important later. I am an 18 year old boy who will be attending college in September.
But enough about me for now. You want to know where you are and why I’ve requested you. Well, it’s simple, really. Over the course of the next few months, we shall engage in a most peculiar game of theories and imagination, where the world is not always as it seems and the rules are always changing.
Don’t be alarmed. It’s nothing dangerous to you. You’ll be watching from a relatively safe distance. Most of you, anyway. Like I said, the rules are always changing.
What game are we playing? While its name has changed throughout the ages, from dreaming to theorizing to playing pretend, I’d like to christen it with my favorite iteration of the game, the Hypothetical game. (Runner up was Imagine If, but that game has a box, and I’m personally not a fan of confined spaces.) In this game, we will discuss possibilities beyond imagining. From space travel and teleportation to dragons and wands, we’ll fly as far as we can, perhaps farther. Ad infinitum. To infinity, there is no end to the possibilities we can find.
Most posts will contain the hypothetical of the week, serving as an episode, no, a chapter. At the end of each chapter, I’ll leave the discussion in your capable hands. This is a friendly game, so be nice to your fellow conspirators. I will also be accepting new topics every few chapters. Leave your suggestions below with a #THG.
